The border watchtower near the Potsdamer Platz is the oldest historical relic of the Berlin Wall. It is the only surviving tower from the first series constructed from concrete. The city of Berlin has restored it to its present state. Since then, it has become a must-see attraction for Berlin tourists. As such, between Potsdamer Platz and Leipziger Platz you’ll now find a monument of international significance. The tower attraction is open as long as the weather is fair.
