Gayret Gemi Museum, İzmit, Kocaeli, Turkey
The ship built by the United States on May 10, 1946 was named USA Everson. In 1973, a change was made to the Turkish Navy Command of USA Everson Vessel named TCG Gayret. Over a period of more than 20 years, he has successfully accomplished many important tasks. In 1995 TCG Gayret was decorated in accordance with modern musicology understanding with the joint ventures of Kocaeli Governorship, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality and Navy Command within the scope of Museum-Ship Project and started its new duty on İzmit coast in 1997 as TCG Gayret Museum.
