Galerías Piquer

Set in an area the place where much of the Arde Madrid television series is set and where you can find everything from original canvases, art decò furniture or modernist decorative objects.

The Piquer Galleries, in the heart of the Rastro , is one of the favorite corners of antique collectors. From Castilian furniture to the most sophisticated modernist and oriental pieces come together in this shopping area whose name honors the Valencian singer Concha Piquer.

Opened in 1950, first under the name of Galerías Isla de Cuba, its design was the work of the architect José de Azpiroz y Azpiroz. Such was its success with the public that, shortly after its opening, other similar stores were opened, also specializing in antiques and collecting, such as Nuevas Galerías and Galerías Ribera.
