Fouzia Younis took up her position as British Consul General to Toronto in April 2023.
Before her posting in Toronto, Fouzia was Communication Director for the Pakistan Network, as well as the Co-Chair of the FCDO Race Network.

Fouzia was seconded to No 10 Downing Street and has led major corporate reform programmes for the FCDO. Her work has been nominated for several awards including for innovation and expertise. She is also a passionate advocate on diversity and inclusion.
Fouzia hails from Stourbridge in the West Midlands, speaks Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi, and is an alumna from the Universities of Birmingham and Cambridge.
