Private theater in the heart of Stuttgart
The Forum Theater is located in the center of Stuttgart, with the best transport connections. It has 120 seats. The legal entity was the Forum 3 e.V. until 2008, since then the Forum Theater has been a gGmbH and is funded by the Cultural Office of the City of Stuttgart and the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Württemberg.
About us:
The Forum Theater has a large tribe of independent, professional actors, directors and costume and set designers with a high artistic level. As a rule, three to four in-house productions are premiered per season. The game plan is supplemented by guest performances.
The repertoire of the Forum Theater includes classics and modern classics, contemporary plays and novel adaptations. The focus is above all on an intensive examination of substances that are as current as they are multi-layered. We approach topics that burn under our nails, we make pieces that we find important – we do not do daily politics and we do not follow any zeitgeist. We tell stories that we believe concern us all because they are acute, because we perceive in them what is close to us.
Our own repertoire is complemented by guest performances with which we want to show theater in its diversity. Musical evenings, comedic pieces with depth, pieces worth thinking about, clownish pieces, recurring guest performances of the Accademia Teatro Dimitri and the Famiglia Dimitri from Ticino, which have cult status with our audience.
