To reach this fort it is necessary to walk about 700m of light trail from the Information and Control Post (PIC) of the Bay of the South East. From there it is possible to enjoy Morro do Chapéu and Cabeluda Island more closely, which are not visited.
As it has few trees, it is worth protecting yourself from the sun with hat / cap, sunscreen, repellent and bring a bottle of water – which can be filled in the PIC.
