Fon’s Palace, Bamenda, Cameroon
The fon’s a local chief palace is home to the representative of a 700-year-old historical dynasty and provides a stunning insight into Cameroon’s traditional culture. This is the most important building in the Bafut Palace. The King or Fon of Bafut lives in this building. It is a sacred building. It has a solid foundation made of long stone pillars. The walls are made of wooden material, and the roof is made of wood and grass.
