Feuerwachturm Rennberg Flaesheim

The Rennberg fire watchtower, made of hot-dip galvanized steel, replaced the 35 m high, dilapidated structure that had previously stood on the summit region of the Rennberg. It was inaugurated on March 31, 2010 and offers a breathtaking view over the Haard, including Flaesheim, to the Flaesheim lock on the Wesel-Datteln Canal and, when visibility is good, to the Ruhr area from its viewing platform, which can be reached via 143 steps and is located at a tower height of 32 m and in the Münsterland. The network operator Telefonica distributes the radio standards GSM, UMTS and LTE from the fire watchtower.
