The Museum brings together the belongings and objects of the Devil’s Railroad that was built in the early twentieth century . It is one of the main historical attractions of Rondônia, possessing several facilities that can be visited.
The Madeira-Mamoré Railroad was one of the most difficult constructions in world engineering, along with the construction of the Panama Canal – marked by the high cost in human lives.
It is a true milestone in the rubber cycle , where latex extraction from the rubber tree constituted an important strategic product of the Amazon – although its causal factor was the Brazil – Bolivia agreement , for the solution of the Question of Acre , which Diplomatic participation of Barão do Rio Branco .
