Centro Ippico San Romanello, also known as C.I.R. San Romanello, is an equestrian center and riding school located at Via Privata San Romanello 41, 20100 Milano (MI), Italy. Active for over thirty years, it is a well-established venue for English-style horse riding, offering instruction from beginners to competitive levels in a calm, green setting near the Bosco in Città park. The center provides a complete range of courses, from introductory riding for children as young as four to adult and advanced programs focused on dressage and show jumping. Its affiliated Pony Club offers FISE-recognized training that encourages early equestrian education through playful learning. Intensive workshops like “EquivacanzaCIR” and “EquiweekendCir” combine leisure activities with concentrated practice sessions.
Centro Ippico San Romanello features multiple outdoor and indoor riding arenas—including a heated covered ring—plus stables, a clubhouse, and horse-care areas. The complex also maintains a dedicated obstacle field with full competition equipment. These facilities allow training year-round regardless of weather conditions. Emphasizing horse welfare, the club provides boarding and “mezza fida esclusiva,” a half-lease arrangement granting exclusive use of a horse while covering care and training expenses. Members can also pursue FISE certification through the program, ensuring structured progression and recognized credentials. Affiliated with the Federazione Italiana Sport Equestri (FISE) and Sport e Formazione (SEF), the center operates under the direction of Michele D’Ambrosio, a former show-jumping athlete and FISE-certified instructor. Over time it has cultivated a community of riders competing across national circuits while remaining accessible to amateurs seeking recreational equestrian experiences.
