Eland’s Bay Beach & Surfing, South Africa

Elands Bay is only a two hour drive from Cape Town, but it is a wonderful spot and a must visit if you’re a keen surfer. The beach is fondly known as e-bay. It’s such a great surf spot because the waves are left breaking and often not over crowded which allows you time to become one with the waves.

If you have a licence to dive for crayfish this beach offers wonderful diving opportunities during season. The town is not over developed so you won’t be fighting off hordes of tourists for your place in the sun and the locals are friendly as you’d find in any seaside town.

The beach a Elnds Bay is a perfect location for whale watching and fishing. When you’ve had your fill of relaxing on the beach why not go and explore the Baboon Point cliffs and Bobbejaanberg Cave which has original interior decorating in the form of rock art and shell midden.
