Eight Trigram Mountains Buddha Landscape, Changhua City, Changhua County, Taiwán
The great Buddha statue sitting on Eight Trigram Mountain is a landmark of Changhua County. Having gazed the city for more than 50 years, the Buddha is regarded as a protector who brings people peace and tranquility. The statue is also honored as a historic site due to its exquisite design and careful construction. The whole park is centered on the 22-meter high Buddha statue. Visitors are welcome to go inside the statue and learn the story of how Sakyamuni achieved Buddhahood.
In addition to an ecological center featuring grey-faced buzzard, other attractions include the worship trail, literature trail, health trail, Silver Bridge Waterscape Park, viewing deck, etc. As a great scenic spot combining Buddhism and ecology, the park has become one of the most popular holiday destinations for people in Changhua. Street food sold around the park serves as a perfect finishing note for a physical, psychological and spiritual satisfaction.
