In Steinkjer there are seven story layers. History layers are active in the preservation and dissemination of history in their local environment, and constitute valuable partners for the Egge Museum. History layers and the museum collaborate on events, exhibitions and book releases.
The leaders of the history layers, Egge Museum as well as the department head for culture in Steinkjer Municipality, also constitute the Steinkjer Museum. Steinkjer Museumslag has meetings about 4 times a year. The leader in the team is involved in the history layers. Egge Museum has the secretariat in Steinkjer Museumslag.
