Fregathavnen contains a well-reputed shipyard for wooden ships manned by specialists in the restoration and maintenance of old wooden ships. Every year, more than a thousand ships visit this harbour, many of them large, rare wooden ships, such as the schooners Fulton, Zar and Brita Leth as well as Troels Kløvedal’s widely-travelled ship, Nordkaperen. The Frigate Harbour can be seen from the harbour promenade opposite Glasmuseet Ebeltoft (The Ebeltoft Glass Museum). You can get access to the Frigate’s inner harbour area as well as the pier and The Bastion
by paying for entry to Fregatten Jylland (The Frigate “Jutland”).
