Documentation Center Reichsparteitagsgelände, Nürnberg, Germany
Even today, on the former Reichsparteitages in the south of Nuremberg, gigantic buildings testify to the grandeur of the National Socialist regime. The documentation center Reichsparteitagitagsgelände is located there, in the congress hall, which has remained unfinished for 50,000 people.
The permanent exhibition “Fascination and Violence” deals with the causes, connections and consequences of the National Socialist tyranny. The focus is on the history of the Reichsparteitag, which was used as a massive mass event by Nazi propaganda to stage the “Volksgemeinschaft” (Volksgemeinschaft). The study forum offers numerous educational programs for all age groups on different topics. On the 4 square km Reichsparteitagsgelände information boards provide information about the history of the location.
