Danska Fall, Simlångsdalen, Halland County, Sweden

The area is surrounded by three distances of water. In the north of Brearedssjön, in the east of the waterfall Assman and in the west of Skällåsasjön with brook to Brearedssjön. The most dramatic section alongside Assman is the case that gave the reserve its name – Danish case.

During snowmelting and other periods of high tide, the fall is booming when the water bodies are looking down the bedrock cracks. The fall height from Danish falls to the demarcation a few hundred meters away is 36 meters. The river forms several beautiful rails and falls along the way. Large parts of Assman within the reserve form a quarry landscape where the water takes different paths between rocks and rocks and forms lots of small islands, like an archipelago landscape in miniature.
