Dairy Beach & Surfing, Durban, South Africa
Dairy Beach, also known as New Pier Beach is part of the well know 6km stretch of Durban’s Golden Mile. Another great surf spot thanks to the beach break which provides consistent wave. The surf is best when the wind comes from the southwest with the optimal swell angle from the east. The waves are busiest at low tide when the surfing conditions are ideal, but remember it can be quite a crowded wave.
The beach is also great for swimming and catching a tan. When you need a break from your lazy beach day walk up to one of the awesome Durban Beachfront Restaurants for some respite from the blazing sun.
When you’re in the water keep your eyes out for both jelly fish and sharks as this could be a nasty surprise.
