Dadia Forest, National Park, Greece

To the National Park of Dadia – Lefkimi – Soufli is one of the most important protected areas at national, European and international level. It is one of the first areas in Greece which were protected since here live and thrive collected many species of flora and fauna of the Balkan Peninsula, Europe and Asia. The mosaic landscape shaped by pine and oak forests, which are interrupted by glades, pastures and farmland is the ideal environment for birds of prey. In the National Park are found three of the four species of European vulture (Black Vulture, Griffon and Asproparis) and hosts the only colony of black vultures in the Balkans.
