D-Pempelforter Straße U
The Pempelforter Straße U-Bahn station (abbreviation: Pfs, referred to as U-Bahnhof Jacobistraße / Pempelforter Straße in the planning phase ) is an underground station of the Düsseldorf Stadtbahn . It lies in the course of the Wehrhahn line (the third trunk line) in the Stadtmitte district of the North Rhine-Westphalian state capital of Düsseldorf . The station, which was built below Schadowstraße on March 15, 2008, opened on February 20, 2016 and has been in regular service since February 21, 2016. The underground station opens up the eastern end of one of the most important shopping streets in Düsseldorf with the two department stores of the Karstadt and Galeria Kaufhof chains . It is served by the U71, U72, U73 and U83 light rail lines . There is a link to other lines of Düsseldorf local transport at two above-ground tram and bus stops.
