A village of creators like no other: twenty artists and craftsmen, on a generous impulse from the town hall of Château-d’Oléron, have installed their workshops in old oyster cabins and welcome you all the year on this exceptional site.
Here, oyster farmers and creators rub shoulders, all in love with their workplace, and this unexpected neighborhood is just one of the charms of the place teeming with discoveries.
Feel free to walk along the channels – where barges laden with oyster bags still circulate – and push the doors of the workshops; you will discover unique universes, a great variety of trades and materials, and especially enthusiasts with more than one know-how in their bag: painting, sculpture, ceramic or cutlery, but also violin, marquetry or illumination, for n quote only a few.
