Cotswolds AONB The Cotswold Hills rise gently west from the broad, green meadows of the upper Thames to crest in a dramatic escarpment above the Severn valley and Evesham Vale. Rural England at its most mellow, the landscape draws a unique warmth and richness from the famous stone beauty of its buildings. Walking is the best way to see the Cotswolds National Landscape. Take a relaxing stroll to walk off lunch, or stride out on one of the long distance routes that cross the area. Walks offer an interesting and often entertaining way of exploring our wonderful Cotswold countryside and landscape.
