Copenhagen City Hall, Copenhagen, Copenhagen Region, Denmark

City Hall is one of the tallest buildings in Copenhagen, with great views of the city. It is also home to the amazing Jens Olsen’s World Clock. The city hall is located in the very heart of Copenhagen and is built in the National Romantic style, with a bit of inspiration from the city hall of Siena, Italy. Designed by Martin Nyrop, the construction was completed in 1905.

You can enter the building for free and marvel at the lovely interior decorations. There are guided tours organized in English and Danish (see the official website for details) – those are paid. There is also a beautiful garden inside the City Hall complex.

As there is no lift, you have to walk up more than 300 steps to get to the top of the tower, but the aerial views are definitely rewarding.
