Copacabana Beach, Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil

All 4-km of the Copacabana Beach represent the true essence of cariocas (those born in Rio de Janeiro).

Among its trademarks is the Atlântica Avenue boardwalk, with waves drawn in Portuguese stones. Designed by landscape architect Burle Marx, the mosaic stretches from Leme to the Copacabana Fort.

One of the city’s most populous districts, Copa – also known as Little Princess of the Sea – is always bustling with action, crowded kiosks and musical concerts, day and night.

The beach offers excellent infrastructure, including a bike path, bike racks, rescue stations with shower heads and restrooms, as well as plenty of hotels and restaurants nearby.
