Constitution Hill

Constitution Hill dates from the 17th century and the reign of King Charles II. He is said to have come to the park for his daily constitutional walk, along with his favourite spaniels.

Constitution Hill didn’t stay a gentle walking route for long. In the 1840s there were three separate attempts to assassinate Queen Victoria when she rode along it in her carriage.

Constitution Hill is a road in the City of Westminster in London. It connects the western end of The Mall (just in front of Buckingham Palace) with Hyde Park Corner, and is bordered by Buckingham Palace Gardens to the south, and Green Park to the north
