Clock Tower, Vyborg, Leningrad Oblast, Russia

The Clock Tower was first built in 1490 and is worth climbing for the views of town. At time of research, it was closed for long-term restoration.

Vyborg Castle was founded in 1293 during the third Swedish Crusade. The only medieval fortress in Russia is the main attraction of Vyborg, and its dungeon, the tower of St. Olaf is a recognized symbol of the city.

Now in the main building of the castle is located Vyborg Museum of Local Lore, and he himself became the center of cultural life of the city: concerts, festivals, knight tournaments are held here.

In 2015, the Vyborg Museum-Reserve was created, which united the castle and medieval monuments of Vyborg. In the same year, the reconstruction of the Vyborg Castle began.
