Church of Spasa-na-Iliene, Veliky Novgorod, Novgorod Oblast, Russia
This church is called Spasa – na – Iliene or St.Saviour Church in Ilien street. It dates back to the 13th century and was wall-painted by one of the most outstanding artists of his time – Thepphannes the Greek, whose disciple was the famous russian painter Andrey Rublev.
