The CEO and Founder What3Words. Frustration with international addresses and postcodes was an everyday part of life in the music business, and led me and 2 friends to formulate the concept of what3words – a global address system which names every 3m square in the world with a unique 3 word address. We now have an 100+ strong team, headquartered in London. Our backers include Intel, Mercedes, Ikea, Sony, Deutsche Bahn, Subaru, SAIC Motor Corp, Channel 4, Aramex, ITV, Horizons Ventures, & Alpine Electronics.

The simplest way to talk about location. Street addresses aren’t accurate enough to specify precise locations, such as building entrances, and don’t exist for parks and many rural areas. This makes it hard to find places and prevents people from describing exactly where help is needed in an emergency. That’s why we created what3words.
