Chevy Chase Country Club
“We aim to build a stronger community together” Chevy Chase Country Club was once a showplace, but after many changes of ownership from the mid- 90s to about 2010 it fell into a state of disrepair. In the early 2010s it went up for sale. There was a serious threat to end the nearly 90 year history of Chevy Chase Estates and the whole East Glendale area as everyone currently knows them.
Fortunately for the entire Glendale community, Nick, Vatche and Esteban ‘won’ the right to restore what has been known as the ‘Jewel of the Canyon’, and have put a new shine on this gem. Golf courses and country clubs have always had an image of being for the wealthy, the privileged, for the elite. Not so at the Chevy Chase Country Club and golf course. They wanted this to be a special place for everyone in the community.
This is a story about resilience, and how three friends worked together to make something that seemed impossible, possible.
