Central Memorial Park

Situated in Memorial Park at the west end of Memorial Drive, the Calgary Cenotaph was unveiled on November 11, 1928. Designed by the architectural firm of John M. Lyle, the cenotaph is dedicated to soldiers who died in both World Wars and the Korean War. Its design is inspired by Sir Edwin Lutyens’ original Cenotaph in Whitehall, London.
