Cave Teyq, hofar Governorate, Oman
The 170,000 m3 Teiq cave is located on top of the Teiq sinkhole. It has six chimneys, the biggest of which is on the western entrance wall. Residents of this area once used this cave for shelter. Discovered by a team of Slovenian adventurists in collaboration with the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), the Teiq sinkhole is also one of the biggest sinkholes in the world – 130-150m in diameter and around 211m deep.
