The Castillo de Niebla (also known as Castle of Guzman) is a fortification Spanish located in the city Andalusian of Niebla , in theprovince of Huelva .
The building, located at one end of the Cuidadela andalusí built during the Taifa of Niebla , has quadrangular divided into two large courtyards surrounded by square towers. The main tower rises in the northeast corner and has a square topped by defensive battlements. The material used in the construction mixture ashlar rigging, the ashlar stone and mud.
Although the castle has remains Romans , Visigoths and Andalusians, the construction of the current building is after the Reconquista and the creation of the county of Niebla , with the II Duke of Medina Sidonia the builder of the present castle. The 1755 earthquake caused severe damage both the walls and the castle, but mainly in the tower.
