Casa Dante, inaugurated on September 19, 2021, is a cultural space in Ravenna, Italy, dedicated to celebrating the legacy of Dante Alighieri. Located near the poet’s tomb and the Basilica of San Francesco, this multifunctional center complements the adjacent Dante Museum. It features exhibition rooms, a bookshop, educational workshops, and an open-air “meditative” space, offering visitors a comprehensive experience of Dante’s life and works.
The establishment of Casa Dante was a collaborative effort between the Classense Library Institution and the Uffizi Galleries of Florence, with contributions from the Emilia-Romagna Region, the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Ravenna, and the Ravenna Chamber of Commerce. This partnership has enriched the cultural offerings of the space, providing insights into Dante’s enduring influence on literature and art.
