Cachoeira Santuario, State of Amazonas, Brazil
Cachoeira Santuário Ecological Reserve is located in the municipality of Presidente Figueiredo , approximately 110 km north of Manaus, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the city. It is also the one that perhaps has the best tourist infrastructure.
It is necessary to cross a small trail within the forest for about 10 minutes. The complex consists of three waterfalls, with the largest reaching about 15 meters high. The strong current, when it crashes against the stones, produces splashes of water that seem to reproduce a fine mist, providing a beautiful vision.
Despite the strength of the water, small pools form on the banks of the river, enabling a more peaceful bath. The rocky formations that surround the whole complex are impressive for their grandeur, while the soil is covered almost entirely by a thick tangle of roots.
