Museum displaying frescoes, paintings, sculptures & artifacts from as far back as the 3rd century. The Byzantine and Christian Museum, based in Athens, is one of the national museums in the country and one of the most important museums worldwide for the art and culture of the Byzantine and post-Byzantine times. It has more than 25,000 objects, organized into collections, which date from the 3rd to the 20th century and mainly from Greece, Asia Minor and the Balkans.
