Bundesplatz Bern, Bern, Switzerland

The federal square was built around 1902, together with the opening of the parliament building. Architect Hans Wilhelm Auer had a casino and other houses demolished for the construction of the Bundeshauses, which would have blocked the free view of the Bundeshaus. Under the National Bank and the Bundesplatz not only are evidence of the city’s history – an indestructible rumor states that Switzerland retains its assets in the form of gold under the Bundesplatz.

By Day the Bundesplatz Bern is the place right in the heart of Bern. The square is dominated by a square of natural stone and a magnificnent water play with a total of 26 waterfontains for the cantons is a delight for all the visitors. And by night With a lightly curved light strip, which visually connects the bear place with the Bundeshaus and the new place lighting, new accents are set especially at night.
