Buerdalen valley and Glacier, Odda, Hordaland, Norway
The Buerbreen glacier in Odda is a part of the Folgefonna glacier. The marked trail through Buerdalen takes you all the way up to the edge of the glacier. 3 hours hike in total. Starting point at Buer, 8 km from the centre of Odda. Drive route 13 towards Røldal, and turn right at signpost Buer. Already from the parking place you can see the glacier. The last part of the hike is steep – bring good hiking boots. It is also possbile to join a guided hike on the glacier, contact Odda tourist office.
