British Ambassador to Mongolia

The Ambassador represents Her Majesty The Queen and the UK government in the country to which they are appointed. They are responsible for the direction and work of the Embassy and its Consulates, including political work, trade and investment, press and cultural relations, and visa and consular services.

Philip enjoys sports and reading in his leisure time. He is married with two children. Mr Malone joined the FCO in 1981. He has served in a range of FCO and overseas posts, with a particular focus on Asia and Europe, including postings as Deputy Head of Mission in Helsinki, Head of Chancery in Singapore and as British Ambassador to Laos. He took up his appointment as British Ambassador to Mongolia in April 2018.
