British Embassy, Dakar, Senegal
The British Embassy in Senegal maintains and develops relations between the UK and Senegal. Their work covers a range of issues including trade and investment opportunities for British businesses in Senegal, encourages the Senegalese government in their efforts to improve their business environment and regulatory framework. They work with the Senegalese government and other international partners to address a range of peace and security issues in the region, including drug trafficking, other forms of organized crime, and terrorism. They support action to further enhance democracy and good governance in Senegal.

George Hodgson has been British Ambassador to Senegal and non-resident Ambassador to Cabo Verde and Guinea-Bissau since July 2015. George Hodgson joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 2002. He has previously served in Washington, Kabul, Islamabad, Brussels and London. George Wilson Hodgson is married with 3 children
