The Bremer Marktplatz is a square situated in the centre of the Hanseatic City of Bremen, Germany. One of the oldest public squares in the city. Surrounded by the town hall, cathedral and citizenship, the market square is the heart of Bremen. Here is the famous Bremer Loch and the Roland watches over the city.

Impressive buildings around the market square and known as a “good place” by the locals, the ensemble of historic buildings in the middle of the city center is characterized by a unique character. Outstanding is the town hall from 1405, which together with the Roland belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
