Bread in Common Restaurant

Seasonal menus and artisanal breads in a lofty warehouse space with wood-fired, volcanic-rock ovens. Opened in 2013, our architecturally award-winning converted warehouse has become a mainstay of the West Australian culinary scene. Originally built as a pharmaceutical warehouse in 1898, we faithfully restored the heritage-listed building, preserving its history and character. We continue the story in Fremantle’s historic streets with our hand-built wood-fired ovens that carry the heart and soul of our restaurant.

Connect in our communal dining space over wood-fired, preservative-free bread, shared plates, and minimal intervention wines. We bake, ferment, pickle and preserve using the best seasonal and local produce available. We choose responsibly sourced seafood and farming practices to reduce our environmental impact and create honest, ethical menus.
