From the discovery of Cannes in the 19th century, this part of the Cannes coastline was elected by chic walkers and beautiful villas, palaces and other nautical clubs.
Having become definitely famous thanks to the Cannes Film Festival, the legendary promenade of La Croisette runs along the bay of Cannes for three kilometers, from the Palais des Festivals to Palm Beach. The villas have for the most part left their place to luxury buildings, next to palaces and luxury shops.
