Long-running gallery cooperatively owned by local sculptors showcasing a diverse lineup of exhibits. Boston Sculptors Gallery’s mission is to provide a unique platform for a select group of Boston- and New England-area sculptors. and to present contemporary sculpture in a variety of media and genres, reflecting Boston’s diversity of race, ethnicity, class, gender, and sexual orientation. .

As Boston’s premier venue for contemporary sculpture, Boston Sculptors Gallery features a distinctive variety of innovative contemporary work by Boston area artists. Founded in 1992 by 18 artists and originally located in Newton, MA, within 4 years of opening Boston Sculptors was named “Boston’s best gallery” by Boston Magazine, while the Boston Globe hailed us as “the most innovative gallery around.” Since moving to the heart of Boston’s vibrant SoWa arts district in 2003, the gallery has grown to include 38 artist members, and become one of the city’s landmark cultural destinations.

Boston Sculptors Gallery brings professionalism, energy and creativity to promoting the role of sculpture in the public sphere, as well as engaging the community and cultivating new audiences with exhibitions and programming such as artist talks, panel discussions, poetry readings, performances and other special events.

In addition to showing the work of its artist members in the gallery, Boston Sculptors has organized well-publicized special exhibitions featuring national and international curators and sculptors, as well as presented exhibitions of its sculptors in other venues, regions, and countries. The Boston Sculptors Gallery is the only sculpture collaborative in the country that maintains its own gallery space.
