A trip to Binondo, Manila is not complete without going thru Ongpin. Ongpin Street alone, the main road in Chinatown, is a treasure trove of restaurants and food alleys, jewelry (esp. gold) shops, Chinese drug stores, and outlets where you can buy from fengshui stuff and mahjong sets to Chinese herbs and delicacies, and almost anything in between.
Many shops and much activity in this very old area of Manila. Can be more meaningful with a well informed guide. A confusing maze of tiny food outlets and general shops. Delicious food available. Cheap eats! Look for old temples and meeting places of historical interest.
