Bercy Arena
Capacity 11000. Built in 1984, Bercy Arena is a large sports hall and was once the number one concert venue in France (until La Défense Arena opened recently), welcoming a plethora of international artists. Designed by architects Michel Andrault
and Pierre Parat, Bercy Arena in the 12th arrondissement of Paris has a distinctive pyramid shape and sloped sides covered with grass. In 2014 and 2015, the arena underwent extensive renovation to modernise its technological infrastructure, increase its capacity and enhance the visitor experience. The multi-purpose venue now meets the highest international standards. Bercy Arena is a versatile venue that has seen over 30 million spectators pass through its doors for hundreds of events, including athletics, basketball, equestrian, judo, handball, tennis, ice hockey, skiing, sailing and motocross events, as well as shows, conventions and concerts. At the Paris 2024 Games, Bercy Arena will demonstrate its exceptional modular design once more, hosting two major sports – gymnastics and basketball – and three disciplines one after another within a short space of time.
