Ben Gurion Tomb, Sde Boker, Southern District, Israel
Must see Ben Gurion’s Tomb National Park. The Tombs are located in the center with an amphitheater surrounding the graves from here you can see the magnificent Zin Cliffs and Canyon.
The graves are in a well tended park with a stunning view of Nahal Zin from the amphitheater around the graves. While most of the prime ministers of Israel are buried in the Har Herzl national cemetery in Jerusalem, David Ben-Gurion chose to be buried in his beloved Negev. He actually chose the spot, overlooking the Zin Canyon. The path from the parking lot runs through a desert garden.
. The Institute for the Heritage of David Ben Gurion is next to the tomb. An audio-video show inside tells of his life. The Ben Gurion Promenade behind the tomb leads you along the cliff above the Tzin Canyon and provides a breathtaking view.
