Bear Park, Fla, Buskerud, Norway

Bjørneparken (the bear park) is undoubtedly one of Flå’s biggest draws. Here you can wander around in scenic natural surroundings and come close to Norwegian animals such as bears, lynx, red fox, deer, roe deer and elk. Children can feed the animals, test themselves in an obstacle course or playland and follow the nature trail and identify animal tracks and tracking spores. And how often do you get the chance to pet the king of the forest?

Parts of Vassfaret (the legendary Kingdom of Bears) belong to Flå. Vassfaret is a large, forested mountain valley situated between Hallingdal and Valdres. The valley is about 30 kilometres long, and contains large lakes, roaring waterfalls, steep hillsides and mountain peaks, mountain farms, cabins and dams. You can follow a 16-kilometre long nature trail from Øyvatn, which contains 20 information points describing the nature, cultural history, forestry, hunting and fishing.
