Basilique de Saint-Quentin, Saint-Quentin, Picardy, France

The construction of the gallery is entrusted to a master Saint-Quentin sculptor: Girard de la Motte. The buffet is designed by Jean Berain and directed by Pierre Vaideau, respectively draftsman and carpenter in the service of the King.

This instrument was completed in 1703, has 47 games on 4 keyboards and pedal.

In 1840 a complete restoration was entrusted to Antoine Sauvage, disciple of Aristide Cavaillé-Coll, who then installed a Barker machine and made changes in the nascent romantic aesthetic.

In 1888, Auguste Brisset performs a lift.

In 1917, the piping was melted, the mechanism destroyed and the buffet seriously damaged.
The latter is restored in parallel with the restoration of the Basilica.
