Barra Grande Beach is very much part of a traditional fishing village located in the northeast of Brazil in the state of Piauí, just below the equator. Only a few years ago, the roads were illuminated only by moonlight and stars.
Today the village has kept its authenticity and offers ecological trips through untouched landscape, strong sensations for kite surfers and quiet beaches to relax.
It is also a stopover on the famous “Road of the Emotions” which runs from Sao Luis to Jericoacoara. You will find the secret to happiness within the ecologically preserved environment, discovering turtle breeding areas and the protected site of Peixe boi (manatee).
