Baneheia Islands, Vest-Agder, Norway 

Baneheia is bordered by the northern side of Kvadraturen. The area extends from Oak to Grim and to the Ravedalen valley. There are several nice hiking trails and bathing places, which means that Baneheia may be Kristiansand’s most popular hiking area. Baneheia became the foundation of the city at Christian IV in 1641, but it was Oscar Wergeland in the 1880s who made sure to plant Baneheia and set up railing and stairs. The area extends over 1083 goals.

In Baneheia there are many trails, trails and pathways. There is winding and varied terrain. Most of the time you find yourself in the woods, but there are several bathing places, stamps, and nice viewpoints. From Eg, you come into a light slope that is popular both summer and winter.
