The place where Aziziye Camisin took place was known as Bezirganlar Han Arsası.
Between the years 1671-1676 IV. Mehmet ‘s daughters were built by Damat Mustafa Pasha, the wife of Hatice Sultan, and there was a mosque called the High Mosque, which also had shops under them.
The religious building here was burnt down in 1867 with many shops around it. In 1875, with the help of Pertevniyal Hatun, the mother of Sultan Abdulaziz, the baroque-rococo and Ottoman style were combined.
